| How to Ride the Bus in SLO County |
|
Your travels from Downtown San Luis Obispo all start at the Downtown Transit Center, near the Old County Government Center at Osos Street & Palm Street. Make convenient connections with the City of San Luis Obispo (SLO Transit) buses diagonally across the street. See an overview of how to ride RTA and South County Area Transit.
All RTA and SCAT buses can accommodate bicycles and are wheelchair accessible. See the destinations served by RTA: Route #9 (towards Paso Robles), Route #10 (towards Santa Maria) and Route #12 (towards San Simeon and Hearst Castle). RTA bus routes will take you to the front door of all the major Central Coast attractions. Leave the stress of driving at home- you’re now on vacation! OR, if you are commuting to work, you’ll FEEL like you are on vacation!
South County Area Transit gets you around the Five Cities area every hour, 7 days/week!RTA also operates South County Area Transit. Routes 21, 23 & 24 have hourly service connecting the Five Cities area, including Pismo Beach, Grover Beach, Shell Beach, Arroyo Grande, & Oceano, to the rest of the county via RTA's Route #10.
Travel on SCAT to great places in the Five Cities area; the Pismo Beach Pier, Pismo Prime Outlets shopping Center, Shell Beach Dinosaur Caves with a great park for kids, Butterfly Park, Oceano Dunes, lovely Arroyo Grande Village, and Grover Beach Ramona Garden Park.
