Regular cash fares for SCAT are between $1.25. See the fare table on the applicable SCAT Schedule. Senior (65-79), Disabled & Medicare Card Holder Discount cash fares are $0.60. Youth discounts do not apply on SCAT.

You may fill out an application in advance, but we need a photograph. VIP Passes must be OBTAINED in person at the RTA Main office: 179 Cross Street, Suite A, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401, or at Regional Rideshare (1114 Marsh St.).

RTA Discount Policy: In order to purchase RTA and SCAT bus passes at a discounted rate, customers are required to complete & submit the appropriate form. Once approved, your name will be added to our Discount Eligibility List. You will then be able to purchase passes at the discounted price at any of our Pass Sales Outlets. More information here.
